It was a special event at Chad's place this week. We were kept in the dark as to the mystery of the event and when the day finally came, Stephen and I excitedly drove to Chad's place in anticipation of something big!
Con was an apology tonight. His mother was in hospital and he was visiting her.
That left Richard, Chad, Me, Stephen and Albert.
Chad was watching Star Trek Voyager when we first went there. So we watched a bit of television whilst sipping on our 6 pack. Chad had 2 big bags of crisps waiting to be opened in bowls when the rest of the crew arrived.
At about 6.30 pm we decided to order our meals from the local indian take-away shop. I loved the selection and had Barramundi Masala with Saag Paneer. Stephen had butter chicken. We ordered a large rice but when it came it was all small rice. No problem. There was definitely plenty of food. We couldn't eat it all. We had garlic naan but it came as chilli naan. We also had papadums. The indian place had free delivery.
I didn't note what the others had but everybody was happy with their meal. Chad has the photos as a prompt hopefully. I think is was a general 8 all round.
And now onto the main event! Chad had bought a new Star Trek game! An interactive game that plays a video on the television as well as the board game. We had to work our way around the Star Trek Enterprise going into the different rooms to collect our badges. It was a lot of fun! Richard stole the show by winning hands down. I think I came second and most everybody else lost their badges to Richard. It was a fast paced game against the clock and the video made it harder by giving out stasis fields and other impediments. Great game!
Richard wanted to watch footy after this which brought the mood down a bit as Albert went to sleep and Stephen and I tuned out. Stephen finished his beers and even had some of Chad's stout beer which smelled like maple syrup.
Alas, time to call it a night. A fun time by all. Another Chad entertainment working out well. Until next time...
