20190118 Cafe Michael 2 and Brunelli

Even though we went to Michael 2 the week before, Chad hadn't been, so it was his choice.

Michael 2 has a warm mexican decor but the food is definitely Thai. The plates are from Harris Scarfe but the curries taste authentic. I had the green vegetable curry which was a bit like soup but the flavours were there.

Two small down sides to the experience. One was that we were served 3 servings of rice in one small bowl which made it impossible to enjoy and I still felt hungry afterwards. And secondly, we were overcharged by $8.

This is the second time I've been to Michael 2. Nice enough.

We went to Brunelli afterwards and sat in the pseudo outdoor/indoor area. Richard ordered for us, but they forgot his drink. We have mixed reviews about the decor at Brunelli. Richard likes it but Stephen and I think it has already dated. In a couple of years it will start to look run down as the quality of the furnishings seem cheap. I'm not a fan of the outside patio area compared to what it was before.
